    Lovely words, lovely images; it’s not personal, it’s what we stand for that brings the persecution. Your painful insight is the source of so much intolerance, yet what we should do is pray for our persecutors. This is a difficult task. I’m not sure I’m capable of that level of forgiveness.

    The Beatitudes are a.way to live not just for the religious, but the secular as well. Great essays. Keith

      Thanks, Keith. Loved your comment. The Beatitudes are ideal possibilities that stretch the human potential. I think that’s why Jesus says about those who live by them, “theirs is,” (not theirs will be) the kingdom of Heaven.
