Gospel of John 21:16

The gospel of Jesus can be summed up in one word – love. Peter betrayed Jesus, out of human weakness, when he denied him three times. But, Jesus overlooked Peter’s human weakness and restored him to his former position as leader of the apostles because of his (Peter’s) love for him. Mary Magdalene, a great sinner, became a great saint because of her great love for Jesus.

Let not human weakness cast you down or depress you. The Lord, God, has loved you from the beginning and sent his son for your salvation.
