Today, before you think of saying an unkind word…
Think of someone who cannot speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food…
Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your spouse…
Think of someone who lacks a companion.
Before you complain about life itself…
Think of those who are sick and dying.
Before you complain about your children…
Think of someone who desires children but has none.
Before you complain about your living quarters or home, and the work you do to maintain it…
Think of people who are living on the streets.
Before whining about the distance you have to drive…
Think of someone who has to walk that distance with their feet.
When you are tired and complain about your job…
Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wish they had a job.
Before you think of condemning another…
Remember that no one is without sin and you shouldn’t cast stones.
Whenever depressing thoughts get you down…
Put a smile on your face, and thank God you are alive and still around.

Thank you fr. Duffy we all need to read this several times a day. We are so blessed and we don’t see the gift God has given us…instead of complaining we should do more for others that don’t have what we have. Thank you for the message. God bless
